A1 - What is Illustration?

I chose this for my example because it has great imagery, colors, good focal points, line work.  
This is a political illustration. 
The purpose is to create a thought-provoking image through immigrant eyes.
The context of this illustration is to show the hope of immigrants from escaping their hostile home countries and those looking for a better future elsewhere. 
The intended audience range from mid adults, around 25 years old to older adults. This was for a newspaper story. 
The communication objective is to think about what immigrants are trying to achieve or gain
by leaving a hostile lifestyle behind. This is supposed help recognize those in the middle east
that have had their live stolen.
Medium used is a mixture between digital media with textures of scanned found objects, in
order to give his illustration a warm and evocative atmosphere.
The sender was The Boston Globe. 
Davide Bonazzi is a full-time illustrator from Italy. He works for Salzman International which is
an illustration agency. Some of his work has been seen in The New York Times, The Washington
Post, The Boston Globe, GQ and The Huffington Post.
